More About Scott
My entrepreneurial career began when I was a kid; no, not with a lemonade stand or anything like that, my parents were small business owners for as far back as I can remember.
They had a corner grocery store (my Mom and Pop's Mom-n-Pop), called Stan's Market in Lomita California. That's where I got my start. I'd earn pocket money by restocking items, straightening up the shelves, and dusting with one of those old-fashioned feather dusters with real ostrich feathers.
Later we moved to Northern California where my parents bought the Foster Freeze in Sonoma. Yes, I've flipped a lot of burgers and mixed up a ton of milkshakes. I've also shopped for produce in the early morning and stayed long after closing fixing broken equipment. And when my dad got sick, I took over, two shifts a day, seven days a week until he got better.
A lot has changed since then; newspaper display advertising has given way to Facebook ads. The importance of a Yellow Pages listing is now found in a Google Business Profile. But the core values for success: good copywriting, irresistible offers, customer engagement, and other things remain the same.
I know that we as small business owners must wear many hats and at times it can all seem overwhelming, but remember, struggle is merely an option. There is a better way. If you'd like to learn more, contact me.
